Title: Limitations Of Displacement Meter Uses
Author: C. H. Whitwell
Source: 1939 Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course
Year Published: 1939
Abstract: Our aim, as gas measurement men, is to meter our product accurately, economically, safely and with no detriment to efficient utilization. In other words, we wish to choose a meter which is suitable for each situation, which is not unduly costly to purchase or to maintain, which is accurate when installed, and which will remain accurate over a reasonable period of time. We will test this meter periodically to determine whether it has maintained its accuracy, and to detect and remedy any deterioration which has caused, or which may be likely to cause, inaccuracy or interference with good gas service.
