Abstract: INTRODUCTION In this class we will review what we need to know about how natural gas, and other gases, works in order to better understand how to detect leakage and unintended releases. We will then look at the operation, maintenance and calibration of the instrumentation available for gas detection. The class will conclude with a demonstration of the Explosion Chamber.
