Abstract: DURING THIS DECADE THE METROLOGY COMMUNITY WILL EXPERIENCE SIGNIGICANT CHANGES. ACCOMPANYING THE DEPARTURE OF MANY SEASONED METROLOGISTS FROM THE FIELD OF ACTIVITY, WILL BE THE INFLUX OF NEWCOMERS. THE LATTER WILL FACE THE ADDED CONPLEXITY OF CONTINUED EXPLOSION OF TECHNOLOGY WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF THE COUNSEL OF THE SAGES.
