Abstract: The Oil and Gas industry (buyers and sellers) have agreed for nearly 100 years that the market value of liquid hydrocarbons should be based on the volume of the product at standard conditions. Standard conditions being defined as Standard Conditions - Where the pressure is 14.696 psia (101.325 kPa) (One standard atmosphere) and the temperature is 60.0F (15.56C). In some regions of the world the base temperature used is 20.0C, 15.0C or some other agreed to temperature
