Abstract: It ia the intent of this paper to show a new analytical method for the calibration and intercomparison of measurement instruments. This method takes advantage of instrument tolerance information to make highly accurate Bayesian estimates of the systematic errors of all instruments used in the intercomparison process. Statistical inference techniques are developed to support calibration decisions.
