Abstract: This paper is a review of the principal areas of an LNG facility. It discusses inspection procedures, monitoring systems, and maintenance of the critical components of an LNG plant, from a materials and corrosion viewpoint. It addresses the efforts required to keep an LNG plant fit for service. The issue at hand is one of plant fitness-or how to keep a plant fit for continued service.
