Abstract: Consolidated Gas Transmission Corporation has undertaken an extensive design and programming effort to replace its existing Gas Measurement computer program. Since Consolidated Gas Measurement Sections responsibilities encompass measurement raw data processing, calculation, and gas accounting, the scope of the project is quite large. The need for a modernized Gas Measurement system was identified, as were the problems associated with the current process. The existing system was written in 1965. This set of programs has been patched to adopt the changes in business function incurred over the last twenty years.
