Title: Precision Natural Gas Measurement Using Coriolis Technology

Abstract: Coriolis metering technology is gaining more acceptance in the natural gas measurement community. Over the past ten years, local distribution companies (LDC) and small operators have installed over 8,000 Coriolis meters to sell CNG. Most of these are in dispensers that are routinely verified gravimetrically to within 0.3% by local Weights and Measures authorities. In these technically demanding applications only one flow technology has performed accurately over a very wide turndown without a fully developed flow profile: Coriolis. This exceptional performance can, also, be leveraged in more traditional natural gas production, compression, transportation, transmission, and distribution applications.
