Abstract: This paper will give a review of Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) functionality and its application in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) Systems. It will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of integrating both functions into a single RTU.
