Abstract: The North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) was incorporated in 1994 as the Gas Industry Standards Board. The organization is an industry-led effort to develop business practice standards, communications and e-commerce protocols for the natural gas industry. The Gas Industry Standards Board was expanded in January 2002 to include the wholesale gas and electric and retail gas and electric sectors of the energy industry.
