Abstract: Abbott Laboratories is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical, medical device and nutritional products. The companys Corporate Metrology department provides support to locations worldwide. Key personnel in the calibration process include technicians, calibration coordinators, and instrument specifiers. With emphasis on company specific calibration program requirements, a combination of instructor led and web based training programs have been developed for these audiences. An overview of these training programs, successes and lessons learned will be presented.
