Abstract: While thousands of horizontal oil and gas producing wells have been drilled, only a small number of successful horizontal gas storage wells have been brought on line. The adaptation of this technology from oil and gas development drilling is likely to accelerate since the success of initial storage wells has been phenomenal, with deliverability six times or greater than typical vertical wells.
