Title: Transient T-Ightning() Protection For Electnnic Measurement Devices

Abstract: Electronic measurement devices have become a major part of the oil and gas business today. All of these devices operate on an electrical voltage. Any voltage introduced into the system that is beyond the predetermined tolerance will cause degradation of performance or in some cases failure of the device. The extent of the damage depends upon the dielectric strength of the circuit in question and upon the available energy . As these devices are further developed to incorporate more solid state circuitry and cerate at lower voltage levels the more susceptible they become to transients.
