Abstract: For the past five years, GRI has funded a major research project at Cornell University evaluating cased and uncased gas piping crossing railroads and highways. This paper presents an overview of that work and a description of the major tasks and their principal results, including the three-dimensional finite element modeling and the field tests that validated this analytical work.
