Abstract: Numerical models are built to describe the asymmetrical problems in an electromagnetic flow meter. The alternating iteration method is used in solving the problems. In experiments, the traditional symmetrical design is changed by daubing electrodes and plastering tinsel on inner wall of the flow meter. Calibrated data are compared with theoretical ones. The results are useful to engineering design and application of electromagnetic flow meters.
