Abstract: Fast, accurate, and low cost analysis has become more important with the increased demand for on-site results in many industries. The ability to have answers in real time without being tied to a laboratory and its schedule saves valuable time and resources, The use of on-line gas chromatographs in the natural gas industry has become the standard for high volume custody transfer locations, as well as plant inlets and outlets. This typically is the most accurate way to determine energy content of natural gas but is expensive for low volume locations. The portable gas chromatograph offers a solution to this problem.
