Abstract: implementation of real-time measurement of natural gas is applied differently according to the industrial needs of the companies controlling and monitoring the movement of product from the well head to the end-user. Contractual requirements, billing, monitoring line pressure, storage, timely gas control, and delivery of product affect daily/hourly operations of the gathering, transmission, gas control, and distribution companies. The efficiency of movement of product depends on the integrity of timely and accurate measurement that todays flow computer/RTU systems provide.
