Abstract: A new micromachining technology based on the techniques used in the fabrication of integrated circuits has been applied to the miniaturization of a gas chromatograph. This micro-GC includes a carrier gas supply, sample injection system, column, integrated thermal conductivity detector, and analog electronics it measures only 2x4x4 1/2 inches.
