Abstract: While the value of energy continues to grow, the industry can no longer afford to give it away through inaccurate measurement or overcharge for it in good conscience and fair business ethics. 1. As of 1985, on-line computers for custody transfer of natural gas seems to be the best solution to the problem of accurate measurement. Computerized gas measurement is no longer a dream or myth of the past but rather a reality of the present and future.
