Abstract: Every company involved in the natural gas industry must deal with the issue of determining lost and unaccounted for gas loss. Production, gathering, midstream, pipeline and distribution companies are all impacted with manag - ing the unaccounted for (UAF) gas loss. For years, the cost and impact of the UAF was passed directly to the customer with no direct requirements to manage and re - duce the costs associated with this loss. Now, numerous individual companies strive to manage the impact of UAF for their customers.
