Abstract: The question is often asked what percentage of loss should we have in our pipeline system. This is a difficult question to answer with any degree of accuracy. A small leak on a gas line means a continual loss of gas for not only 24 hours a day, but for 365 days a year. This so called small leak will often supply a single customer for a like period.
