Abstract: In May 1924 the Gas Measurement Committee was established by the Board of Directors of the Natural Gas Association, which later became the Natural Gas Department of the A.G.A., through its main Technical and Research Committee. The Gas Measurement Committee was directed to determine correct methods of installing orifice meters as well as the mecessary factors and operating requirements needed to measure natural gas.
