Abstract: As you know, OSHAs final rule on Permit-Required Confined Spaces for General Industry was published in January with an effective date of April 15, 1993. Because many valves, regulators and other pipeline components are located in areas that would be classified by OSHA as confined spaces, we were extremely interested in the outcome.
