Abstract: Equipment and techniques are at hand to assist in the measurement of the Btu of gasses containing unstable hydrocarbons. This paper is a review of results found in an eighteen month study of the sampling of an aerosol type natural gas stream that required extraordinary procedures to correctly determine the heating value.
