Abstract: Experiments conducted at national user facilities, such as the National Ignition Facility (NIF) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), employ state-of-the-art instrumentation including optical and X-ray streak cameras, gated imagers, CCDs, and diodes. These instruments are characterized to ensure the diagnostics perform reliably, and data collected during their use will be traceable to relevant standards.
