Title: Methods Of Determining The Specific Gravity Of Gas
Author: R. H. Prickett

Abstract: Before discussing the methods used to determine the specific gravity of gas, the meaning of the term should be understood. The definition of specific gravity as applied to gas is the ratio of the weight of a known volume of gas to the weight of an equal volume of dry air, free from carbon dioxide, at the same temperature and pressure. This paper will be devoted mostly to the primary means of obtaining the specific gravity and not to recorders that have to be checked and set with one of the primary devices.
