Abstract: Liquid densitometers are required for numerous applications in the hydrocarbon industry. These applications include the use of densitometers on custody transfer, interface detection, volumetric and mass flow, as well as product identification and quality. This paper will discuss the basic principles and methods of density measurement and the use of densitometers on hydrocarbon applications.
