Abstract: In recent years the underground storage of natural gas has become very important. In fact, many people advocate that it is perhaps the most significant operation developed by the gas industry in the past twenty-five years. The American Gas Association has defined the term underground storage of natural gas as follows Gas which has been transferred from its original location in a gas and/or oil field to another natural underground reservoir for the primary purpose of conservation, fuller utilization of pipe line capacities, and more effective deliveries to market.
