Author: K. C. Yost

Year Published: 1971
Abstract: It is generally recognized that the turbine meter has some very desirable features such as: (l) Superior performance which includes excellent repeatability, accuracy and linearity. (2) Extended operating range. (3) Digital output. (4) Retention of calibration. (5) Rapid Response. The turbine meter first appeared in the period following World War II as a fuel metering device for liquid propelled rocket and large jet engine test stands. After some 20 to 25 years, we find that the turbine meter is not only active in the liquid measiirement field, but during the sixties, branched out into the gas measurement field.
