Abstract: Overpressure protection devices are of vital interest to the gas industry. Every pipeline, main, distribution system, customers meter, and connected facility must be analyzed to determine the need for such a device. The primary requirements for overpressure protection are established by Part 192-Transportatinn of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline: Minimum Federal Safety Standards, commonly called the D.O.T. Code
