Abstract: What is a Thermoelectric Generator (TEG)? ThermoElectric Generator The TEG produces power through the direct conversion of heat into electrical energy The natural output power of a TEG is DC Thermoelectric Theory First thermoelectric generators, fuelled by radio-isotopes were utilized in the Apollo Space Program to power communications from the moon. Standard fuel burning TEGs utilizing lead-tin-telluride thermoelectrics were developed in the late 1960s.
