Abstract: Host Gas Measurement Systems are a requirement in todays business for any company involved in the production, gathering, distribution, transmission or processing of natural gas. In this paper, we will discuss what a Host Gas Measurement System is, what it does and the requirements. We will also discuss some of the maintenance issues around the ever expanding requirements for measurement data, how this is handled in the real world and the reporting requirements for the data. And finally, we will talk about some example applications that are available on the market today
