Abstract: The phenomenon which we call static electricity, or more simply static, is perhaps the oldest known manifestation of electricity. Electricity is a physical agent used to convert energy from one form to another it is not a form of matter, but a form of force. The types of electricity are (1) static electricity, the study of electric charges at rest, and (2) current electricity, the study of the effects produced by moving charges.
