Abstract: The customary approach to orifice meter measurement has been to consider it in a very academic manner-explaining the operation of these devices by reference to various traditional concepts and laws. These explanations and bases for derivation of the applicable equations are sound and proper. I would not want to give the impression of disparaging such generally employed and scholarly methods of analysis.
