Abstract: In September 1981, an international study group was set up under the auspices of Groupe International des importateurs de Gaz Natural Liquefie, commonly referred to as the GIIGNL, to collect and evaluate data on occurrences of rollover in an effort to expand the relevant data base beyond what was then available in the literature. Columbia LNG Corporation was one of the eight GIIGNL member companies participating in the study of rollover in LNG storage tanks.
