Abstract: Before we can describe the cost of a corrosion control program we need first to consider some of the factors involved, such as the size of the total distribution system, the age range of distribution piping, and the number and average size of individual city plant systems. Also, we need to describe briefly just what is included in the distribution corrosion program, and what the cost figures given will represent and include. Naturally, the corrosion control program costs I am going to talk about today relate to my own company, Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company, so a brief description of the company is in order.
