Abstract: VXIbus is a multi-vendor, open architecture for modular instruments that was designed to satisfy the growing need for an open modular instrument standard. Although,VXIbus is composed of a hardware and sofhvare architecture, this chapter presents a VXIbus hardware overview that includes an in-depth discussion of the electrical functionality. Examples explain how to use the VXIbus electrical functions in a test and measurement system.
