Abstract: Greater emphasis Is being stressed on the proper sampling of natural gas. This emphasis has come about due to the larger volumes of natural gas being transported In gas transmission systems and processed in natural gas plants. A general discussion and review of various methods of sampling and the reasons for these methods are outlined, Gas chromatography has revolutionized the methods used In the analysis of natural gas. Several factors that effect the results of analyses by gas chromatography are directly related to the Scimpling technique used to sample the natural gas.
