Abstract: Atrex Energy Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) are truly state-of-the-art, 21st Century Technology whose time has come. SOFCs, in full scale production since early 2011, provide levels of efficiency and environmental friendliness previously unobtainable for remote power applications while providing the levels of system availability such applications have come to expect. This Technical White Paper provides the customer with some background information on fuel cells in general and then provides some specifics on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells that Atrex Energy has successfully developed over the past decade. This TWP, when combined with the Technical Datasheets for the 4 different models currently being sold commercially, will provide any reader with a very comprehensive understanding of the technology involved.
