This procedure is offered in the interest of safely and good engineering practice, and is intended to aid in the formation of each individual companys testing procedures. The current edition of the American National Standards Institute, ANSB31.8, Code for Pressure Piping-Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems, is recognized as establishing minimum standards for design, installation, testing, and operation of all gas transmission systems.
