Abstract: By definition, liquefied petroleum gas is any material having a vapor pressure not exceeding that allowed for commercial propane composed predominantly of the following hydrocarbons, either by themselves or as mixtures propane, propylene, butane (normal or iso-) and butylenes. This paper will discuss the principles of LPG measurement with principal emphasis on specification grade products as opposed to purity components that exist in mixed liquids and are measured through a mass-to-volume conversion.
