Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to offer one point of view about electronically calculating variables recorded on measurement charts. Instead of comparing methods, discussing pros and cons, weighing benefits, and asking general questions that dont have answers, time and space are best used by presenting a significant advancement in reading and evaluating measurement charts on an industry-wide scale. As a preface, it is important to explain briefly the corporate entity of Metrology One. Metrology One is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cascade Natural Gas Corporation, whose principal areas of business are conducted in the states of Washington and Oregon. Cascade Natural Gas distributes natural gas to over 86 communities and approximately 90,000 customers. All gas is delivered through one pipwline system that stretches from the Canadian border to the four-comer states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado. and New Mexico.
