Title: Measuring And Regulating Station Design
Author: John R. Stroder
Source: 1970 Southwestern Gas Measurement Short Course (Now called ISHM)
Year Published: 1970
Abstract: It is the intent of this paper to review with you those elements of good delivery station design. To be original in a presentation of this nature would be quite impossible considering the excellent papers that have been presented in this course in the past years. The primary goals that must be achieved by the design engineer are safety, continuity of acceptable service to the customer, accuracy, noise level abatement and cost and these are not necessarily in order of their importance. Basic equipment design considerations involve the orifice plate or meter, meter tube, regulators, valving, station piping, gas heaters, and relief valves.
