Abstract: Measurement accuracy is an important concept for anyone who deals with measurement on a regular basis. In fact, a measurement is not truly complete until the accuracy has been assessed and is understood. This paper will introduce multiple concepts regarding measurement accuracy and how they apply to flow measurement. The examples in this paper will focus on natural gas measurement, but the concepts discussed could also be applied to other measurement systems.
