Abstract: In the past few years, more and more coKfianies are showing an interest in the use of Densitometers. Therefore, this paper will he devoted to trying to explain the fundamentals of the Densitometers and their use in the natural gas industry. Densitometers are used to measure the density of the fluid flowing down the pipeline and to relay this measurement onto some form of flow chart or into one of the flow computers now available. With this measurement, a very accurate volume of fluid can be calculated. Since the price of gas is increasing and the natural gas reserves are decreasing, this accuracy is receiving top priority.
