Abstract: This paper summarizes the features of the Job Tracking and Management system (JTM). Pacific Gas & Electric Company is developing this software to streamline and simplify the process of providing new gas and electric service. The program is designed to eliminate duplication of information entry and to reduce the amount of paper processing. This will decrease the time interval between a service request and a meter set. JTM includes modules to help with such functions as scheduling of construction and estimating, sharing of information among operating departments, and correspondence with customers.
