Abstract: Aging is the deterioration associated with the passage of time. Aging is not obsolescence. Obsolescence is a condition that occurs when equipment becomes inefficient to operate, is no longer supported by the manufacturer, no longer meets code requirements, or is no longer wanted, although it is still in good working order. This can be outside the control of the owner or operator of the facility.
