Abstract: Hydrogen sulfide (BS) and total sulfur, in varying amounts, are found in almost all natural gas fields. In some cases, it is so small that the product ia referred to as sweet gas. Many fields, however, produce sour gas, which Is a gas with an HS and total sulfur level high enough to require its removal or sweetening. Several methods are available to do this sweetening. However, that is a separate subject and not a part of this paper.
