Abstract: Natural gas is a valuable or perfect fuel. Not too many years ago this perfect fuel was thought to be useless or in the way and was therefore flared or literally given away. Now we find ourselves with a shortage, possible firm curtailments this heating season, and a product wanted by all at any reasonable price. Knowing this, it is easy to see that the measurement of this lighter than air, colorless, sometimes odorless gas must be accurate, reliable, and repeatable.
