Abstract: This paper gives an introduction to the practical application of ultrasonic gas flow meters. A general outline of the theory and methods applied using multipath flow meters. The 5-path type meter provides state of the art gas flow measurements and its accuracy and reliability satisty the requirements for custody transfer. The preliminary test results indicate a 0.2% accuracy for this multipath instrument.
